Newcomerstown Emergency Rescue personnel and Ohio Highway Patrol troopers from the New Philadelphia Post look over the scene of an overturned semi truck on the northbound on ramp to Interstate 77 from Route 36, just outside of Newcomerstown, last Monday afternoon. The semi was reportedly hauling 41,000 pounds of steel coil slits stacked on pallets. However, the load shifted on the curve and caused the truck to overturn. The ramp was closed for several hours. The driver, Luis H. Castillo, 63, of Burlington, Canada, was cited for having an insecure load. He was treated at the scene for minor injuries. The truck is owned by GLF Transportation Ltd. of Oakville, Canada. It was traveling from Coshocton to Canada. Jim's Towing of Newcomerstown helped turn over the truck.
