The following are the award winners from the 12th annual Tuscarawas County Chamber of Commerce High School Leadership Awards Program. NEW PHILADELPHIA -- Ten area high school seniors were honored recently at the 12th annual High School Leadership Awards luncheon sponsored by the Tuscarawas County Chamber of Commerce recently. The award recognizes one senior student from each high school in Tuscarawas County based on outstanding leadership, good citizenship, and service to their school and community.

The ten recipients were:

Erik David Vuchkovich, the son of David and Kimberly Vuchkovich of Wilmot, was selected by the staff at Buckeye Career Center. He plans to begin a five-year electrical apprenticeship following graduation.

Chase Swaney, the son of Rob and Lisa Swaney of Uhrichsville, will attend The Ohio State University this fall to double major in Music Theater and Political Science following graduation from Claymont High School.

Morgan Schaffer, the daughter of Lori and Dave Schaffer of Dover, will graduate from Dover High School in a few weeks. Morgan plans to attend Miami University where she will major in either Marketing or International Business.

Rose Troyer, the daughter of Teresa Alberts of Sugarcreek, plans to intern at WJER Radio this summer following her graduation from Garaway High School. Rose will study journalism at Ohio University's E.W. Scripps School of Journalism this fall.

Tricia Horn, the daughter of Joe and Teresa Horn of New Philadelphia, will graduate from Indian Valley High School. Her future plans include attending Ashland University this fall to major in Nursing.

Allison Snyder, the daughter of David and Wanda Joy Snyder of Newcomerstown, will attend Bethany College to study Sports Management following graduation from Newcomerstown High School. She also plans to become a member of Bethany's volleyball team.

Victoria Moore, the daughter of Daniel and Tracy Moore of New Philadelphia, will attend The Ohio State University following graduation from New Philadelphia High School. She plans to major in Math Education with a minor in Spanish.

Chelsi King, the daughter of Bonnie Flores and Barry King, will graduate from Strasburg High School. She plans to study English at The Ohio State University this fall.

Bryan S. Adams, the son of Deb and Tom Adams of New Philadelphia, is a member of the Class of 2011 at Tuscarawas Central Catholic High School. He has accepted an ROTC scholarship through John Carroll University where he will major in Exercise Science before starting his career with the United States Army.

Emily Crilley, the daughter of Tom and Pat Crilley of Mineral City, will graduate from Tuscarawas Valley High School later this month. Following graduation she plans to attend Kent State University where she will major in Fashion Merchandising.
