PORT WASHINGTON -- The Memorial Day services will commence at the Port Washington Union Cemetery at noon on May 3.

The service will include songs by Sara Cowen of Newcomerstown, music by the Indian Valley High School Band, the Pledge of Allegiance by 4-H groups and the 21-gun salute by the Newcomerstown Honor Guard. A military fly-over is scheduled at 12:15 p.m.

The guest speaker will be Commander Debra Gardner, Medical Nurse Corps, U.S. Navy retired.

Following the service, there will be the annual parade from the cemetery to the Village Square.

The Newcomerstown Honor Guard will lead the parade followed by the Port Washington area veterans, old time tractors, kids on decorated bicycles and other vehicles.

The Delaware Valley Fire District will provide a chicken barbecue.
