Students at the Newcomerstown Middle School in all three grade levels recently learned the dynamics of rockets and how to properly construct a model from every day materials. Students were asked to bring in 2-liter bottles in order to assist with the materials needed for the project, and Mrs. Supers’ sixth grade classes brought in over 70 bottles. One of her students, Josh Kenney, brought in 22 plastic bottles himself for this project. Students got to launch the rockets they created on Friday, May 27 with assistance from the 4-H office. Thanks to all that helped make this activity possible.
