CHARM The annual Charm Merchant Days is set for Oct. 7 and 8 in Charm.

Since 1983, Charm Merchant Days has been an annual event.

Each year, they are held on Friday and Saturday on the second weekend of October. During the two day bargain shopping, participating merchants offer discount prices and specials to help celebrate the occasion.

Friday will include the annual wooly worm derby at the Charm School beginning at 12:30 p.m.

In the evening, watch the volleyball and cornhole tournaments for charity and the old time fiddle playing with John Schmidt, The Stockdale family, Northwest territory and Virginia Cross Ties.

Then Saturday come back for the flea market, horseback fun show and benefit auction.

Both days there will be good eating also with bake sales, benefit lunch stands, barbecue chicken and more.

Saturday morning will feature Dennis Rabers' world famous sausage and pancake breakfast from 6 to 9 a.m.
