PORT WASHINGTON Connect Your Community, a federal grant program, is coming to Port Washington Elementary School to teach free computer and Internet skills. Classes will cover such topics as basic mouse and keyboard skills, basic word processing, how to browse the Internet, anti-virus and spyware information, downloading photos, emails and attachments, cleaning your computer, buying a computer, and Internet Service Providers.

The classes will be Tuesday through Thursday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 18, 19, 20 and Oct. 25, 26, 27.

Class size is limited to 22 and participants must be at least 18 years of age. Participants that take advantage of this opportunity will qualify to purchase a computer at a reduced cost (one per household).
