WEST LAFAYETTE Due to the Christmas holiday, West Lafayette Village council members agreed to change the regular session that was scheduled for Dec. 26. The second monthly regular session is now scheduled to take place on Dec. 19 at 7 p.m.
Other business discussed during the Nov. 28 meeting included:
Council approved an emergency passage for the resolution establishing a special revenue fund for accounting for the recently passed levy of a one half percent income tax that is designated for maintenance and repairs of streets, alleyways, sidewalks, and curbs within the village.
Council approved attorney Bill Owens to continue as the villages solicitor for the 2012 fiscal year.
A second reading was given for an ordinance to provide for the procedure of charging for late/delinquent charges, and termination of water service.
A second reading was also given for the ordinance to establish the new water and sewer rates to be effective Jan. 1, 2012.
Councils next regular meeting is set for Dec. 12 and again on Dec. 19; both meetings start at 7 p.m.
