The Hampton Inn Newcomerstown had its best year ever in 2011.

Under the direction of Gerald Miller, the general manager, the hotel has increased its occupancy and its position in Hilton's Overall Service category.

The extended breakfast buffet has been upgraded by adding hot kettle oatmeal with a selection of three different toppings to the extensive breakfast. We have, also, started to offer four Manager Receptions per week to the guests. They enjoy the food and beverages that are served to them in the lobby.

Guests have requested that hotels become more "green" and we have responded by replacing all the light bulbs with energy saving bulbs. We have incorporated a program called Light Stay to enhance Recycling and Sustainability. We have also replaced the plates and silverware with biodegradable service. We have exchanged our chemicals and cleaning agents to those that are environmentally friendly. Our program, "Take Care, we owe it to one another" is our way of saving water and electricity by only exchanging the towels and linen that are requested by the guest.

In 2012, we look forward to big changes. Emerald Hospitality Inc. of Cleveland, the management company that operates the inn, will be remodeling the lobby to the perfect mix of elements to WOW our guests. The Perfect Mix Lobby will provide a unique opportunity to provide a space to the guests that will meet their needs beyond the traditional breakfast hours. It becomes a lobby that encourages guests to mingle and will radiate Hamptonality. In the guest rooms, we will be changing our amenities to Neutrogena products and we will add extra receptacles to each room for larger work areas.
