The Newcomerstown Rotary blood screening and Newcomerstown Chamber of Commerce Health Fair is set for Saturday, March 31 at the West Elementary School, Beaver Street, Newcomerstown.

The blood clinic will be from 7 to 9:30 a.m. and the health fair is from 7 to 11 a.m. Breakfast will be available from the PTO from 6:30 to 10 a.m.

Some of the screenings include: Blood test, $35; prostate specific antigent, $25; thyroid screening, $20; and hemoglobin, A1C, $25. Tests will be taken by the Coshocton County Memorial Hospital lab. Participants must fast for 12 hours prior to the time the blood is drawn. Do not smoke the morning of the test. Drinking water is permitted.

The health fair will feature exhibitors such as Medi-Wise Pharmacy, Area Agency on Aging, Trinity Hospital Twin City, Baker's IGA, Autumn Health Care and many more. There will be door prize drawings and the grand prize will be a Wii with sports package.

Also, bring in your unused and expired drugs which can be turned in to be disposed of properly during the health fair.
