DOVER -- The Union Hospital Patio Cafe is inviting senior members of the community to come for dinner, and enjoy a 10 percent discount. The Senior Supper Club offers its members, age 55 and over, a delicious and healthy meal at the hospital's cafeteria. The discount is available weekdays during the dinner hours of 4 to 6:30 p.m. and on weekends from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Carey Gardner, director of development and community relations, said the Senior Supper Club has no cost to join and is a true bargain.

"If you've enjoyed a meal at Union Hospital you've already experienced the excellent selection and quality of the entrees, salads, soups and desserts," Gardner said. "And with a 10 percent discount added to the already very reasonable price, we expect many of the area's seniors will add Union Hospital to their list of good places to eat on a regular basis."

Gardner said joining the Senior Supper Club is easy. Membership application forms are available at the register and membership cards will be issued on the spot. The 10 percent discount is applied to any cafeteria purchase the member makes for their meal only.

"Chef Michael Smoot and his team are very excited about seeing many new customers come in to enjoy some of their special creations," Gardner added.

In addition to the hot entrees, vegetables, soups and salad bar, the Patio Caf offers, hot-baked pizza, grab-and-go sandwiches, desserts, and a wide assortment of beverages.
