Buckhorn Buckshots 4-H Club met at the Wainwright Community Hall April 1. The meeting was called to order by advisor Debbie Allen.

There were 38 4-H members, seven advisors plus parents in attendance.

Mariah Abel led the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by the 4-H pledge being led Sarah Beem.

Members were reminded to turn in their enrollment cards at the next meeting if they have not already done so. The enrollment cards are due at the extension office by April 16.

The 4-H club elected 2012 officers. Officers are: President, Cassandra Hupp; vice president, David Mizer; secretary, Brianna Hamilton; treasurer, Chase Allen; news reporter, Maddy Schupp; Historian, Bryer Schupp; Health and Safety, Brad Haun and Dominic Cottrell; Recreation Committee, Kaylee Gram, Miranda Beams, Ross Hupp, Reno Hupp, and Jason Smitley; and Community Service Committee, Kimberly Grewell, Clayton Sprowl, Bobby Abel, Abby Sprowl and Sarah Been.

Member were reminded that if they are taking an animal in 4-H that you must attend a quality assurance meeting. The next one is April 11 at Dover Middle School. Registration starts at 6:30 p.m. Members ere told that there will be a goat clinic and a rabbit selection clinic on April 14 at the fairgrounds at 9 a.m.

The Cloverbuds learned about how to take care of a rabbit and what you need to do to help a sick pet rabbit. The Cloverbuds had a craft and which they made a rabbit.

The next meeting is April 15 at 4 p.m. at Wainwright Community Hall. All members are asked to bring any Hosta plants that they would like to donate. Also, members were asked to bring gloves, rakes and shovels because the 4-H club will be helping the Wainwright Community Center Committee landscaped around the hall.
