Pioneers discuss Run For Home

PORT WASHINGTON -- The Thunder Valley Pioneers met April 1 at the Indian Valley Elementary School in Port Washington with 29 members in attendance. Cassie Glazer was in charge of the meeting.

Members discussed the quality assurance program, Run For Home, club T-shirts, quilt square and community service projects.

Members helped with stuffing hand-outs about Run For Home in bags.

Demonstrations were given by: Jessica Beamer, foot rot for goats; and Kelsie Hinds, how to judge livestock.

Members also discussed tornado safety, and sunscreen and sun burns.

The next meeting will be April 29 at the Port Washington Park.
