Moms in Prayer International to meet
Do you worry about your children? Replace anxiety and fear with peace and hope by praying with other moms.
Moms in Prayer International gathers women together to pray scripturally and specifically for children and schools. Spaghetti supper planned
WEST LAFAYETTE -- A spaghetti supper is set for Friday, May 4 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 688 E. Main St., West Lafayette. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children (ages 4 to 12).
All Daughter's Banquet set
Invite your daughter or a friend and join them at Christ United Methodist Church, 648 Oak St., Newcomerstown, for an evening of food and music entertainment at the All Daughter's Banquet in the River of Life Community Center on May 8 at 6 p.m. The meal is catered by Dick's Place. The cost is $5 for 12 and under and $10 for adults. Call 498-8134 for reservations.
A community breakfast is being planned for May 12 at Christ United Methodist Church, 648 Oak St., Newcomerstown. Full buffet is being offered for a $5 donation.
Breakfast is being served from 8 to 11 a.m.
National Day of Prayer Service set
BAKERSVILLE -- Bakersville Presbyterian Church, 28164 Coshocton County Road 97, Bakersville, will be hosting a National Day of Prayer Service at noon Thursday, May 3, followed by a luncheon.
The theme, "One Nation Under God," has been chosen for the 61st anniversary of the event.
According to the Rev. Peter Mathewson, pastor, "It is a time for America to pray."
Gary Henshaw, of the Fresno Presbyterian Church, will be providing music as will Betty Warren from the Bakersville Presbyterian Church.
It is a community event regardless of church affiliation.
