COLUMBUS -- Speaker of the Ohio House William G. Batchelder (R-Medina) announced that State Representative Al Landis (R-Dover) has been appointed to serve as vice chairman of the House Veterans' Affairs Committee.
"Representative Landis has done a terrific job serving his constituents and the State of Ohio in the House of Representatives," Speaker Batchelder said. "His leadership skills will be vital as the House moves forward with work in the Veterans' Affairs Committee. I'm proud to have him as vice chair."
"I'm grateful for the opportunity to serve in the position of vice chairman," Representative Landis said. "Legislation that protects and benefits those who have fought for our country is extremely important for the House to take under its wing, and I'm looking forward to having a more in-depth role in the process."
Representative Landis will also continue to serve on the House Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee, Economic Development and Small Business Committee, and Public Utilities Committee.
