Community dinner set

Journey's End Ministries in Newcomerstown will have its community dinner on May 17 from 6 to 7 p.m. at its location, 205 S. River St., Newcomerstown.

Enjoy dinner and fellowship.

Items sought for Fun Festival

silent auction

GNADENHUTTEN -- Items are being sought for the annual Fun Festival silent auction, organized by the members of the Gnadenhutten Moravian Fun Festival Committee. The festival will be Friday, June 8 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday, June 9 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Fun Festival includes silent auction, food stand, bake sale, yard sale and children's games area.

The funds raised at prior festivals have been used for the purchase of various items including an AED for the church, financial help for several community members in a time of need due to ill health or job loss, and repairs to the parsonage.

Mencer coming to church

PORT WASHINGTON -- The music ministry of Sheldon Wade Mencer is coming to the Church of New Hope, 214 W. Main St., Port Washington, on Sunday, May 20 at 10:30 a.m.

Mencer is a missionary, evangelist, singer and writer of "Lead me to the Rock," "Mercy River," "Only God Knows," and many more.

Mencer is the lead singer for Mencer, White and Cheney.

Breakfast planned

KIMBOLTON -- An all-you-can-eat breakfast is set for Saturday, May 19 from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Kimbolton United Methodist Church.

The menu includes bacon, sausage, eggs, sausage gravy and biscuits, pancakes, toast, fruit, sweets, juice and coffee.

Cost is by donation.

Gospel HIMS to


The Gospel HIMS will be in concert at 7 p.m. May 19 at West Union United Methodist Church in Gilmore.

The concert is open to the public and there is no charge to attend but a love offering will be taken to help the group in their ministry.

West Union United Methodist Church is located at 13679 Gilmore Road in Gilmore.
