CAMBRIDGE -- Southeastern Med Auxiliary celebrated 60 years of service with a dinner served by the hospital administration on May 15. Since 1952, the men and women of the Auxiliary have successfully raised more than $3 million to help enhance patient care at Southeastern Med. Several charter members of the Auxiliary attended the event, and Ray Chorey, president and CEO of Southeastern Med, extended a special thanks to them, as well as current members of the Auxiliary, for all they have done for the hospital. This year, the Auxiliary has pledged to raise $84,000 for a GeneXpert System to be used in the hospital's Laboratory Department.

This progressive system will reduce turn-around-times for vital lab tests from days to hours.
