Lots of activities planned at Fresno Presbyterian Church

FRESNO -- The Fresno Presbyterian Church, 54169 White Eyes Township Road 172 or Main Street, Fresno, will be hosting outdoor worship services through Aug. 26 at 11 a.m.

The Royalaires from Circleville have been invited back to present a concert in southern gospel music at the Homecoming on Sunday, Aug. 19 at 11 a.m. A picnic lunch will follow.

According to the Rev. Peter Mathewson, pastor, a great summer of music and worship is planned. The services will take place inside in case of bad weather.

The public is invited to any and all of the services.

Church to have rummage sale

Christ United Methodist Church, 648 Oak St., Newcomerstown, will have its annual rummage sale on Thursday, Aug. 2 and Friday, Aug. 3 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 4 from 9 a.m. to noon.

Saturday will be a garbage bag sale, fill your bag for $5.

This year, they will also have a concession stand. They usually have many great items donated and our prices are very reasonable.

Vacation Bible School set in West Lafayette

WEST LAFAYETTE -- The West Lafayette United Methodist Church will be having Vacation Bible School.

The theme is "Adventures on Promise Land" and it will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 29 through Aug. 2 at the church.

Registration forms are available at the church office.

Church to have outdoor gathering

FRESNO -- Renner's St. Paul United Church of Christ will have an outdoor gathering on Aug. 4.

There will be games, fellowship, and food from 6 to 7 p.m.

The menu includes grilled hot dogs, coneys, sloppy joes, chips, cookies and a beverage.

At 7 p.m., relax and listen to guest musical performers. The performers include Chestnut Ridge Bluegrass Gospel Singers and saxophonist Kim Clark.

From Route 36, go 6-1/2 miles north on County Road 93.

From Baltic, take Route 93 south, turn left on County Road 88, then turn right on Renner Road.

Bring your lawn chairs or a blanket.

In case of rain, activities will be moved inside.
