Pioneers select fair booth theme
PORT WASHINGTON -- The Thunder Valley Pioneers met July 15 at Belden Park, Port Washington.
The health report was on cheek blisters and the safety report was on livestock safety.
Club members giving their demonstrations included, Chase Jenkins, how to make a circuit; Kaden Hostetler, how to property hold a hamster; and Alaina Long, cake decorating.
Other business that was discussed included, quilt square, Cloverbud Camp, and selling subs, pizzas and homemade pies as a fundraiser. The group will be meeting at the Port Washington Elementary School on Saturday, Aug. 11 at 10 a.m. to make the pizzas and subs. Orders are due by the next meeting.
The Booth Committee discussed their booth ideas. Then, the group picked a booth theme.
The group also discussed buyers' information.
Also, broiler pick-up date is Aug. 3 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the fairgrounds.
