SUGARCREEK -- Area beef producers are encouraged to attend a twilight meeting on Aug. 16 at the Sugarcreek Livestock Auction Barn. This meeting is sponsored by Ohio State University and the Tuscarawas County Cattle Association and will begin at 7 p.m.

Dr. Steve Boyles, Ohio State University Extension Beef specialist, will discuss management strategies available to farmers to assist with managing the current drought conditions. Natural Resources Conservation Service District Conservationist Harry Kenney will provide an overview of grass and forage management and a veterinarian from the Sugarcreek Animal Clinic will provide an update on beef herd health issues and management strategies.
