Lots of activities planned at Fresno Presbyterian Church

FRESNO -- The Fresno Presbyterian Church, 54169 White Eyes Township Road 172 or Main Street, Fresno, will be hosting outdoor worship services through Aug. 26 at 11 a.m.

According to the Rev. Peter Mathewson, pastor, a great summer of music and worship is planned. The services will take place inside in case of bad weather. The public is invited to any and all of the services.

Church to have chicken barbecue

PLAINFIELD -- The Plainfield United Methodist Church will have its annual chicken barbecue on Saturday, Aug. 25. Serving begins at 5 p.m. The menu includes chicken, homemade potato salad, applesauce, roll, dessert and beverage. The cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children. The dining hall is air conditioned.

Bible study planned

A Bible study by Beth Moore, "Jesus, The One and Only," will be offered in the Wesley Auditorium of Christ United Methodist Church, 648 Oak St., Newcomerstown. The study will begin Tuesday, Sept. 4 at 7 p.m. Call Susan Hukill at 498-8227 for information and to make sure there are enough books available. Women of all faiths are welcome.
