CAMBRIDGE -- Southeastern Med and the Auxiliary will host a community health screening on Wednesday, Sept. 5 from 7 to 9 a.m. for individuals ages 18 and older at the Community Health Link, located at 1205 Clark Street, in Cambridge.

The screening consists of a 26-panel lab screening for $45. Participants may choose to also have a TSH (thyroid) and PSA (prostate) screening performed for $10 each. The 26-panel screening requires a 10 to 12 hour fast with only water permitted. Those participating can still take any morning medications as usual.

Southeastern Med Auxiliary is dedicated to enhancing patient care through community fundraisers. All proceeds from this screening will help raise funds for a GeneXpert System to be used in the hospital's Laboratory Department. This progressive system will reduce turn-around-times for vital lab tests from days to hours.

As registration for this health screening is required, walk-ins will not be accepted. Those who have participated in a heath screening offered by Southeastern Med in the last 90 days are not eligible to participate. Registration started Aug. 27.
