Genealogical society hears reports
DENNISON -- The Tuscarwas County Genealogical Society met Jan. 7 with Jon Baker presiding over the meeting with 11 members present.
Research Secretary Christy Walker left her report for the year 2012 and reported she answered 92 letters and took in $902.35 for the library. Emma McMannamy reported on the book sales and said that a total of 167 books, T-shirts and tote bags were sold in 2012. Larry McCue reported on the building's maintenance. He said the apartment's furnace needs repair and they still need more roof repair estimates.
They voted to have the library sign by the bridge repainted.
Other reports were given and it was decided to cancel the First Thursday evening library hours for February and March due to the snow and cold weather. They will be open the regular hours on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, unless the schools are closed due to bad weather.
