Hacker graduates cum laude

LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Bucknell University has conferred bachelor's and master's degrees to students who completed their graduation requirements during this past fall semester. Degrees were awarded in January for studies in liberal arts and professional programs in engineering, education, management and music.

The following list identifies any graduates in your circulation area receiving Bucknell degrees and provides information on special honors earned.

Matthew A. Hacker, Newcomerstown, Ohio, a son of Kenneth and Joy Hacker of Newcomerstown, Ohio, and a 2008 graduate of Springfield Local High School, graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineer and Bachelor of Arts in Theatre.

Fishel named to dean's list

Eddie Fishel of Port Washington was named to the Fall 2012 semester dean's list at Kent State University - Geauga campus.

To be named to the dean's list, a student must maintain a 3.4 grade point average and be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours for the semester.
