The Newcomerstown Chamber of Commerce will be having a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, Feb. 12 at 11:30 a.m. at the Newcomerstown Hampton Inn, 200 Morris Crossing Road, Newcomerstown. Chamber representatives, as well as local dignitaries, will be on-hand for the event.

The ribbon cutting ceremony and open house, which is set for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., will highlight the renovations completed on the new lobby area and fitness center. The five-month long construction process will feature a "friendlier" atmosphere where guests will be able to connect more with other guests, according to Manager Gerald Miller.

The Newcomerstown Hampton Inn is a Connie Award-winning Hampton Inn hotel that is surrounded by the beautiful Appalachian countryside and just 20 miles from Amish Country. The hotel offers 59 spacious guest rooms, accessible rooms available. It is near Roscoe Village, the Wilds (wildlife preservation area for plants and animals) and the Longaberger Basket Company. The hotel also offers an indoor swimming pool and has 1,036-square feet of meeting space for up to 60 guests.
