Beginning on March 4, children ages 3-5 are welcome to attend spring story time sessions at the Newcomerstown Public Library and explore themes and holidays of the season.

Story times extend from March 4 to April 29 and will be held Mondays at 10:30 a.m. on the second floor of the library, located at 123 E. Main St., Newcomerstown.

Each event lasts approximately 45 minutes and includes short stories, finger plays, rhymes, songs, crafts, snacks and more.

Early childhood reading programs help prepare children to learn to read and love books.

The library's story times will introduce children to new words and serve as an early introduction to language arts, expose them to the enjoyment that can be experienced from reading, and provide plenty of opportunities to exercise their imagination.

Registration is not required.
