ZOAR -- Historic Zoar Village will host its first 2013 dinner event on April 20 from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Historic Zoar School House.

Proceeds benefit the village's preservation efforts and operations.

Catered by Georgio's Grille in Bolivar, dinner includes roast pork loin, green beans almandine, red-skin potatoes and a garden salad.

Desserts will be provided by the local Zoar bakers and include tiramisu, black forest cake and lemon pound cake. Beer and wine are available at additional cost.

The event also includes a fundraising silent auction with local artisan wares, including a hand woven rug made using a two-harness loom in Zoar's Weaving House; a pair of handmade wrought iron wall sconces made by the Zoar Blacksmith; a wooden candle board and a local artist's original painting of the Zoar Garden House.

Space is limited and reservations are required.

Tickets are $75 per couple and $40 for individuals. Zoar Community Association members receive a 10 percent discount.
