COSHOCTON -- Ryan Winegar, 20, is facing a possible murder charge after fatally shooting his uncle early Friday, April 5.

In a 911 call recording obtained by the Coshocton Tribune newspaper, Winegar told the 911 dispatch, "My uncle was really drunk and he came at me, and I have a rifle and I shot him in the stomach."

Coshocton County sheriff's deputies arrived at Winegar's residence at 1180 Ohio 541 and found David Gore, 49, shot at least once in the stomach. He was alive, and Coshocton County Emergency Medical Services personnel began resuscitation efforts.

He was transported to Coshocton Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5:19 a.m.

Authorities took Winegar and a female into custody Friday morning (April 5); no charges were filed against her.
