Free movie night

The Newcomerstown Public Library will be showing a free movie on Saturday, May 11 at 7 p.m. in the library annex located at 123 N. Bridge St. The featured film will be a recently-released thriller based on the adaptation of author Lee Child's novel, "One Shot," and starring Tom Cruise. The rating is PG-13. Lunch, bake sale set

A lunch and bake sale is set for Friday, May 10 and Saturday, May 11 at 8 a.m. at the Country View Greenhouse, 3836 Post Boy Road, Newcomerstown. (For directions, take State Route 258, turn west at Sally's Hilltop and go two miles.)

The lunch stand is Saturday only and will open at 10 a.m.

Vendors sought

COSHOCTON -- Applications are now being accepted for gift and craft vendors interested in participating in the 2013 Coshocton Hot Air Balloon Festival. This year's festival, sponsored by Frontier Power, will be June 7-9 at the Coshocton County Fairgrounds. Craft and gift vendor spaces are available for $50 (10-foot by 10-foot) and $80 (20-foot by10-foot). Christ's Kitchen

Christ's Kitchen, located in the Fellowship Hall of the Christ United Methodist Church in Newcomerstown, serves dinner from 4 to 6:15 p.m. every Monday. The dining room is open from 4 to 6:30 p.m.

Sonshine Boxes drop-off

Bob Pell's Nationwide Insurance office, located at 117 N. Bridge St., Newcomerstown, is a new collection site for items to be sent to soldiers serving our country. Items may still be donated at Riverside Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, also in Newcomerstown. Sonshine Boxes consist of anything a soldier might need such as personal hygiene items, games, movies, etc.
