PORT WASHINGTON -- The Village of Port Washington Memorial Day Services will commence at noon on Monday, May 27 at Union Cemetery.

The guest speaker will be Ira Wentworth, superintendent of the Indian Valley Local School District.

Two 4-H groups will give The Pledge of Allegiance and the Indian Valley Band will play The National Anthem.

Sara Cowin will honor the veterans with song.

All military veterans will be honored for their service to American by individual recognition by the name and service they were in.

Following the ceremony, a parade to honor veterans will commence at approximately 12:45 p.m. This is like the parades that you use to see in every town and village around the nation which is still continued in the Village of Port Washington. Following the parade, enjoy a chicken barbecue provided by the Delaware Valley Fire District.
