the lookout for the suspects at 10:30 a.m., at which time it was not known which direction the suspects traveled upon entering I-77.
Witnesses were able to obtain the license plate information for the black Hyundai and it was discovered the vehicle had been reported as stolen by a Cleveland resident.
Initial reports indicated authorities were searching for two white males.
The suspects were located a short time later on I-77 and a pursuit was initiated after the driver of the Hyundai refused to stop.
The pursuit continued northbound to the area of New Philadelphia's York Elementary School, where the suspects collided with an Ohio State Highway Patrol cruiser. The patrol sergeant driving the cruiser was not injured.
The suspects were taken into custody following a brief foot pursuit.
The incidents remained under investigation by Tuscarawas County authorities.
