WEST LAFAYETTE -- "Murder on the Nile" will be performed Nov. 7 and 8 at Ridgewood High School, West Lafayette. It will be the first production of the 2013-2014 season! The talented and over-scheduled students were too busy for a May production.

barbecue set

BAKERSVILLE -- The Bakersville Volunteer Fire Department will have a chicken barbecue and antique tractor pull on Saturday, June 15 at the Bakersville Community Park, Route 751, Bakersville. The tractor pull starts at 6 p.m. Food will be served at 4 p.m. The menu includes half a chicken, applesauce, potato salad, roll, drink and dessert. Relay fundraiser set

Medi-Wise Pharmacy's Relay For Life team is having a huge yard sale and bake sale in the parking lot of the pharmacy on Friday, May 31 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Trivia at the library

Newcomerstown Public Library is offering another evening for trivia buffs. Friday, June 7 at 7 p.m. is the next scheduled event.

Sub sale planned

COSHOCTON -- The Mentoring Center of Coshocton County is hosting a sub sale on Friday, June 7 from 4 to 7 p.m. The meal includes: Sub (choice of Italian, turkey or ham), macaroni salad, potato salad or potato chips, cookie and drink. The cost is $8 per meal.

The center is locate at 410 Main St., Second Floor, Coshocton.

Vendors sought

COSHOCTON -- Applications are now being accepted for gift and craft vendors interested in participating in the 2013 Coshocton Hot Air Balloon Festival. This year's festival, sponsored by Frontier Power, will be June 7-9 at the Coshocton County Fairgrounds.

Craft and gift vendor spaces are available for $50 (10-foot by 10-foot) and $80 (20-foot by10-foot).

Christ's Kitchen, located in the Fellowship Hall of the Christ United Methodist Church in Newcomerstown, serves dinner from 4 to 6:15 p.m. every Monday. The dining room is open from 4 to 6:30 p.m.

Sonshine Boxes drop-off

Bob Pell's Nationwide Insurance office, located at 117 N. Bridge St., Newcomerstown, is a new collection site for items to be sent to soldiers serving our country. Items may still be donated at Riverside Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, also in Newcomerstown. Sonshine Boxes consist of anything a soldier might need such as personal hygiene items, games, movies, etc.
