NEW PHILADELPHIA -- Jeff Mamarella, Tuscarawas County treasurer, said all second half 2013 manufactured home taxes have been mailed and are due by Aug. 1.
Bills can be paid in person or mailed to the Tuscarawas County Treasurer's Office at 125 E. High Ave., New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
There is a drive-thru window open for payment convenience and a (new this year) 24-hour payment drop box located on 1st Drive NE by the County Annex Building. The office has also started taking credit/debit card payments and ACH payments.
Failure to receive a tax statement does not eliminate responsibility to pay taxes and penalties. If you have not received your manufactured home tax bill, contact the County Treasurer's Office at 330-365-3254. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
If you are the owner of a manufactured home and have not registered with the County Auditor's Office, you should do so immediately. Ohio law requires all owners of manufactured homes to register with the County Auditor for determination of taxes.
Failure to register for taxation can result in a fine, plus taxes and penalties.
For information, contact the County Auditor's Office at 330-365-3221.
