Blood testing set

Union Hospital's Department of Community Health and Wellness will offer Hemoglobin A1C tests from 9 a.m. to noon on June 25 at Medi-Wise Pharmacy, 245 W. State St., Newcomerstown.

A Hemoglobin A1C test gives a picture of a patient's average blood gluclose control fro the past 2-3 months.

The result gives patients a good idea of how well their diabetes treatment plan is working.

The cost of the test is $5 and appointments are required.

Late opening at library

Christ's Kitchen

Christ's Kitchen, located in the Fellowship Hall of the Christ United Methodist Church in Newcomerstown, serves dinner from 4 to 6:15 p.m. every Monday. The dining room is open from 4 to 6:30 p.m.

The meal is free but donations are accepted.

Sonshine Boxes drop-off

Bob Pell's Nationwide Insurance office, located at 117 N. Bridge St., Newcomerstown, is a new collection site for items to be sent to soldiers serving our country. Items may still be donated at Riverside Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, also in Newcomerstown. Sonshine Boxes consist of anything a soldier might need such as personal hygiene items, games, movies, etc.
