NEW PHILADELPHIA -- Buckeye Career Center will be having its annual Orientation Fair on Aug. 12 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. This is an opportunity for all incoming students to pick up their schedule, pay fees, meet with the school nurse, and turn in all forms necessary for the first day of school.

Parking permits may be purchased for $5 and students will need to show a valid driver's license and proof of insurance.

If students are unable to attend the Orientation Fair, they will pick up their schedule and return forms the first day of school.

The first day of school for all new students will be August 19. All students (new and returning) will come on Aug. 20. The school day starts at 7:55 a.m. and goes until 2:24 p.m. Student lunches cost $2.90 and breakfast is $2.10.

Both are available at a free or reduced rate for those who qualify. All bussing questions should be directed to the student's home school.

For additional questions, the office is open Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Regular office hours, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, will resume Aug. 12.
