Newcomerstown Historical Society members Denny Belle, Doug Dorsey and Gloria Johnson are seen with a new quilt collection display that was recently added at the Temperance Tavern Museum. Several of the quilts were donated to the museum by Don Zeigler, in memory of his parents Don and Mary Kay Zeigler. They were well-known Newcomerstown residents, and former museum members, having been active in the society for many years.

The Newcomerstown Historical Society would like to clarify that the new gift shop that has opened in the Olde Main Street Museum and Social Center is open to the community. There is no admission to visit the gift shop. The hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. Many new and unique gift items are available, as well as a line of antique and collectible items that are very reasonably priced. Pictured are Newcomerstown Historical Society members Carla Hall and Pat Snader assisting customer and member, Doug Dorsey, with a purchase. The historical society also would like to let the community know that both museums, Temperance Tavern and Olde Main Street Museum and Social Center will be open through October this year. In previous years, the museums closed on Labor Day but the society has seen the need to be open for the fall foliage season in September through October.
