Museum director talks to genealogical society

DENNISON -- The Tuscarawas County Genealogy Society's regular meeting took place with guest speaker Matt Lautzenheiser, director of the J.E. Reeves Museum, talking about his new book "The Notable Residents of Dover."

He also shared the other books he has published.

Jon Baker, president, then conducted the business meeting and Richard Rainsberger was appointed trustee to finish the term of Larry McCue that recently resigned.

It was reported that Linda Kurtzman Doyle donated several books including the new Wilmot Cemetery Burial book and the Strasburg St. Aloysius Cemetery burial and obit book that she just completed.

Everyone then enjoyed a pizza party provided by Karen Stalcup and Peggy Brown.

The next meeting will be Sept. 9 with the executive meeting at 6 p.m. and the regular meeting will take place at 7:30 p.m.
