Special music schedule announced
The Newcomerstown St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church Worship and Music Committee are announcing the special music schedule for the remainder of the summer. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend. Bring a friend! The special music will be presented during the regular worship time, 10:30 a.m. to noon.
The following is the schedule:
Sept. 15: Murphy Sisters.
Sept. 22: Erleen Long.
Sept. 29: Faithful Four.
'Women for Jesus' to meet Sept. 17
The Women for Jesus of the Calvary, King's and Everals churches met Aug. 20 at the Calvary United Methodist Church with Shirley Kirkpatrick, chairperson, presiding.
Pat Smith was elected vice president; Megan Miller, secretary; Bobbi Ellis, financial secretary; and Debra Bush, treasurer.
They make to make Get Well cards at the next meeting, along with other crafts.
Plans were also made for the Women's service at Calvary United Methodist Church on Sept. 22. Future projects were discussed.
The next meeting will be Sept. 17 at Calvary United Methodist Church at 6:30 p.m. All women are invited to join them for Christian fellowship and refreshments.
New Bible study planned
Beth Moore Bible Study: James: Mercy Triumphs will begin on Tuesday, Sept. 3 at Christ United Methodist Church, 648 Oak St., Newcomerstown.
The class will meet weekly at 7 p.m. in the Wesley Auditorium.

Fall Gospel Sing planned
CAMBRIDGE -- The 25th annual Fall Gospel Sing will be Sept. 19-21 and Sept. 26-28 at the Spring Valley Campground, Cambridge.
They are celebrating 25 years of great gospel music.
The event has free admission and free parking.

Praise in the Park planned
The fifth annual Praise in the Park, sponsored by the Peoples Community Church, will be Saturday, Sept. 7 starting at 12:30 p.m. at Cy Young Park, Newcomerstown, Pavilion No. 8.
Guest singers include: Sheldon Mencer, The Murphy Sisters, Ron and Maggie Stowers, Bob and Martha Casterline, and Gospel Hims.
Refreshments will be available. There is no charge for the vent.
