DENNISON -- Members of the Trinity Hospital Twin City Employee Auxiliary raised $2,900 at their first annual kickball tournament. The fundraiser was held on Saturday, Aug. 10 at the PHAC baseball fields, Dennison. Nine co-ed teams and a total of about 100 participants played in the double elimination tournament. Medals were awarded to the players on the first and second place teams.

The winning team was the Mixed Ups, and the team included Lisa Baab, Kameron Baab, Kyle Baab, Brett Bowe, Laura Carlisle, Lisa Dieringer, Brittany Grages, Kathy Karcher, Marcus Lambert, Jerry Leatherman and Krystal Lewis.

"We really appreciate all the players and sponsors who made our first kickball tournament possible," shared Angel Jones, event chairperson. "We received a lot of good comments about the tournament, and we are already starting to plan for next year."

Tournament sponsors included Bloom's Printing, Molly Miller Design, The First National Bank of Dennison, Dennison Rotary Club, Wendy's, Truck Sales, Dennison Railroad Festival, Dover-Phila Federal Credit Union, Hasseman Marketing, Beacon Pointe, Partsmart Hydraulics LLC, Dennison Yard and R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home.

All event proceeds will benefit Trinity Hospital Twin City (THTC). The THTC Employee Auxiliary is a committee of hospital employees who volunteer their time outside of normal working hours to help raise funds for the hospital. In the past year, the employee auxiliary has contributed more than $7,500 to assist the hospital with the purchase of surgical and dietary equipment.
