Special music schedule announced

The Newcomerstown St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church Worship and Music Committee are announcing the special music schedule for the remainder of the summer. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend. Bring a friend! The special music will be presented during the regular worship time, 10:30 a.m. to noon.

The following is the schedule:

Sept. 22: Erleen Long.

Sept. 29: Faithful Four.

Fall Gospel Sing planned

CAMBRIDGE -- The 25th annual Fall Gospel Sing will be Sept. 19-21 and Sept. 26-28 at the Spring Valley Campground, Cambridge. They are celebrating 25 years of great gospel music. The event has free admission and free parking. For information, call 740-732-5291 or visit www.gospeljubilee.org.

Community dinner set

The next community dinner at Journey's End Ministries will be Sept. 19 from 6 to 7 p.m. Journey's End Ministries is located at 205 S. River St., Newcomerstown.

The dinner will be provided by the First Baptist Church.

Come and enjoy a free meal and Christian fellowship.

Special women's service planned

Area residents have a special invitation to attend the Sept. 22 10 a.m. service at the Calvary Methodist Church in Newcomersotwn.

Pastor Erik Miller urges all friends, family and neighbors to attend and support the all-women worship service, sponsored by the newly-formed "Women For Jesus" group. Theme of the service is "Is God speaking to you?"

President of the group Shirley (Willer) Kirkpatrick said there are at least 20 women taking part in the day's activities. As speaker, her topic will be "God Doesn't Want Us All."

Following the service, there is a open to all a fellowship covered dish at 11:30 a.m. in the lower level of the fellowship hall.

The church is located at the corner of State Street and Heller Drive in Newcomerstown.
