The Newcomerstown Rotary in partnership with Go Shred is offering a free shred event for residents of the Newcomerstown area.
This event is designed to give residents an opportunity to shred paper items they have been storing and had no comfortable way to dispose of them.
In Support of Journey's End Ministries, residents will have an opportunity to donate a non-perishable pantry item or make a cash contribution to the ministry.
Items that residents might want to bring for shredding include legal documents, old tax records, medical records and financial records including old cancelled checks.
It will not be necessary to remove paper clips, staples or rubber bands. There is a two box limit per household.
The free drive thru event will be held rain or shine, Saturday, Sept. 28 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 121 S. College St. at Canal Street from 9 to 11 a.m. Workers from Go Shred will be available to unload your vehicle to make the process go smoothly. All items shredded by Go Shred will be recycled in a secure manner.
The Newcomerstown Rotary and Go Shred are happy to provide citizens with this opportunity to get rid of old records in a secure manner.
