The Village of Newcomerstown will not be picking up leaves like they have in year's past. The village does not have the resources to complete this task.
Instead, they ask residents to mulch leaves.
Farmers market set
GNADENHUTTEN -- A farmers market will take place every Saturday at the Town Hall Square in Gnadenhutten from 8 a.m. to noon through the last Saturday in September.
There will be fresh produce, baked goods, eggs, honey, maple syrup, beef, sausage, jams and jellies, flowers, Avon, handmade crafts and more.
Retirees from Kurz-Kasch in Newcomerstown will have a luncheon on Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 11:30 a.m. at April's Country Kitch'n in Newcomerstown.
Christian nurses to meet
WEST LAFAYETTE -- The West Lafayette/Coshocton Area Nurses Christian Fellowship will begin meeting again for 2013-2014 on Sept. 23 at 6:15 p.m. at the West Lafayette United Methodist Church, 120 W. Union Ave., West Lafayette.
All RNs, LPNs or allied health professionals are invited.
The group discusses articles from the Journal of Christian Nursing.
Come and share and see how this might help you nursing experience.
Retired nurses are also encouraged to attend.

Blood drive set
The American Red Cross will have a blood drive on Wednesday, Sept. 25 from 1 to 6 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 121 S. College St., Newcomerstown.

Library hosting Sherlock Holmes impersonator
The Newcomerstown Public Library, located at 123 Main St., Newcomerstown, will be hosting an evening with Sherlock Holmes on Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 7 p.m.
Sherlock (played by Chris Hart) will be presenting "Elementary My Dear Watson -- NOT!"
Admission is free and refreshments will be served.
Women's Health Days set
DOVER -- Women's Health Days are set for Monday, Oct. 21 from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursday, Oct. 24 from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Tuscarawas County Health Department, 897 E. Iron Ave., Dover.
The health check is for women 30 years and older, and is open to all residents of this area.
The special examination price is $40 and includes a Pap smear, breast exam, height and weight check, Hemoccult and blood pressure check.

UHRICHSVILLE -- The Uhrichsville Business Association will have it second annual fall craft show in the downtown area on Saturday, Oct. 12. Participation fee for the day is only $5 and crafters must bring their own tables and chairs.
Adult grief support group
COSHOCTON -- A weekly adult grief support group meets every other Friday at 11 a.m. in the Health Services and Hospice of Coshocton, 230 S. 4th St., Coshocton. The next meeting is set for July 5.

Sonshine Boxes drop-off
Bob Pell's Nationwide Insurance office, located at 117 N. Bridge St., Newcomerstown, is a new collection site for items to be sent to soldiers serving our country. Items may still be donated at Riverside Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, also in Newcomerstown. Sonshine Boxes consist of anything a soldier might need such as personal hygiene items, games, movies, etc.
