DOVER -- The Union Hospital Auxiliary will host its annual Card Party on Sunday, Oct. 6 from 2 to 5 p.m. in the hospital cafeteria. Guests are invited to play card games of their choice or to bring along a favorite board game to enjoy with friends and family.
Tickets are $8 and are available at the hospital's Corner Shop gift shop or by calling Auxiliary member Norma Russ at 330-602-8883.
The theme for this year's Card Party is "Having a Ball." Tables will be set up for groups of four or more. Playing cards are provided by the Auxiliary, though guests are welcome to bring their own cards if preferred.
"We have a fun-filled afternoon in store, including some terrific raffle prizes and a 50-50 drawing," said event chair Jodi Dean of New Philadelphia. According to Dean, proceeds from the Card Party are used by the Auxiliary to help purchase patient care equipment for Union Hospital.
"We sincerely appreciate the support for the Auxiliary by community members who have come out to attend Auxiliary events over the years and encourage anyone who hasn't been to a Card Party to come out and "have a ball" with us for a great cause," said co-chair Ashley Graef of Dover.
