Restricted leaf pickup
The Village of Newcomerstown will not be picking up leaves like they have in year's past. The village does not have the resources to complete this task.
Instead, they ask residents to mulch leaves or they will pick up bagged leaves that are placed at the curb. The village employees will make trips around town looking for the bags placed on the curbstrip.
The West School PTO is sponsoring a Holiday Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 23 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
They will have vendors, crafts and a food stand.
There will also be a free kids' craft table.

GNADENHUTTEN -- The annual Happy Holidays Bazaar at the Gnadenhutten United Methodist Church (220 N. Walnut St.) will be Saturday, Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. There will be homemade candies, cookies, sugar cakes, crafts, lunch and homemade soups for sale.
12 Days of Holiday Magic raffle
The Cy Young Days Festival Committee is once again selling 12 Days of Holiday Magic raffle tickets.
Drawings will be Dec. 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21. There are 12 chances to win. Prizes range from $50 gifts or gift certificates to the grand prize totaling over $500.
Tickets are $5 each, three tickets for $10 or seven tickets for $20.
Proceeds benefit the Cy Young Days Festival.

Pancake breakfast set
STONE CREEK -- The Stone Creek VFD women's auxiliary are hosting a community pancake and sausage breakfast on Saturday, Nov. 30 from 8 to 11 a.m.
This is a free will donation event.
The 2014 Community Birthday Calendar can be picked up that same day. Bring the kids and grandkids to meet Santa and make free crafts!
All proceeds benefit the Stone Creek Volunteer Fire Department.
Christmas Craft Bazaar set
The sixth annual Christmas Craft Bazaar is set for Saturday, Nov. 23 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Newcomerstown Churches of Christ in Christian Union in Jewell Hall, 560 W. State St., Newcomerstown.
There will be a lunch stand and desserts available.
Homemade vegetable soup will be available. Carry-out is available.

'Murder on the Nile' to be performed
WEST LAFAYETTE -- "Murder on the Nile," an Agatha Christie murder mystery classic, will be presented Nov. 21 and 22 at 7:30 p.m. in the Ridgewood Auditorium by Ridgewood Drama.
At intermission, each of the suspects will plead his/her innocence. The audience will then have an opportunity to vote on the guilty; A super sleuth in the audience will win a prize for deducing who the murder is.
The Newcomerstown Christmas Parade, sponsored by the Newcomerstown Chamber of Commerce, will be Saturday, Nov. 30 at 5 p.m. Line-up starts at 4 p.m. at Cy Young Park, Newcomerstown.
Santa will be in the East Elementary School, immediately following the parade. There will be treats and refreshments.

Blood drive set
St. Paul's Lutheran Church is hosting the Newcomerstown community blood drive for the American Red Cross at 121 S. College St., Newcomerstown, on Wednesday, Nov. 27 from 1 to 6 p.m.

Holiday market set
Newcomerstown Library will be having its annual Thanksgiving holiday market on Wednesday, Nov. 27 from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
There are still a few spaces left for vendors.

Blood drive set
GNADENHUTTEN -- Indian Valley FFA will be having its blood drive on Nov. 20 at the high school. Those donating must be 16 years old and it is open to the community.
A Cardboard City to promote what its like to be without things that we have will be Nov. 15-Nov. 16 at Tractor Supply in New Philadelphia.
Adult grief support group
COSHOCTON -- A weekly adult grief support group meets every other Friday at 11 a.m. in the Health Services and Hospice of Coshocton, 230 S. 4th St., Coshocton. The next meeting is set for July 5.

Sonshine Boxes drop-off
Bob Pell's Nationwide Insurance office, located at 117 N. Bridge St., Newcomerstown, is a new collection site for items to be sent to soldiers serving our country. Items may still be donated at Riverside Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, also in Newcomerstown. Sonshine Boxes consist of anything a soldier might need such as personal hygiene items, games, movies, etc.
