Once again, PACCT has sponsored the Operation Christmas Child shoe box program, through Samaritan's Purse, at Newcomerstown Middle School. They are proud to say that the students (and their families) and staff generously donated enough boxes and supplies to pack 24 boxes this year to help spread the word and share the joy to children less fortunate! In addition, the cost to ship each box around the world is $7, and enough money was raised to pay for the $168 in shipping costs as well. This year marks the 20th anniversary of Operation Christmas Child. Since 1993, more than 100 million boys and girls in over 130 countries have experienced God's love through the power of simple shoebox gifts from Operation Christmas Child. Samaritan's Purse works with local churches and ministry partners to deliver the gifts and share the life-changing Good News of Jesus Christ. If you would like more information about Operation Christmas Child or Samaritan's Purse or if you would like to donate money or build a box yourself, go online to www.samaritanspurse.org. Pictured are those NMS students who chose to be involved in the shoebox project this year.
