ZANESVILLE -- The Mid-East Children's Learning Center was the recent recipient of an Expansion Grant.

The grant, which was awarded by the Ohio Department of Education as part of House Bill 59, will allow the preschool to expand and serve more children at a discounted or even free rate. A total of 11 new openings were created as a result of the grant.

The center is devoted to providing the highest quality educational programs available for preschool aged children. Through independent exploration, structured activities, and hands-on learning enrolled children work on early literacy, math, science, and social studies. The Children's Learning Center is a service of the Early Childhood Education Program Mid-East and is open to the public Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. serving children ages three to five. The center is licensed by the Ohio Department of Education.
