The Newcomerstown Historical Society will present David Adair's slide show and play of the old trains that came through Newcomerstown.

"All aboard for Newcomerstown" goes from Dennison to Newcomerstown. See the trains that were at the heart of the town's growth in the early part of the 20th century. Hear from the conductors, engineers, porters and others that kept the trains running on time. Feel the excitement from the passengers that rode the rails -- those include, the servicemen, business people, hobos and maybe a lady of the evening. All played by local actors.

The evening starts with a showing of the 1937 video of Newcomerstown. See the old buildings and businesses, townspeople, all ages of school children, and even parts of a high school football game -- all from 1937.

The program is set for Friday, March 7 at 6 p.m. at the Olde Main Street Museum, 213 W. Canal St., Newcomerstown. Tickets are $4 in advance or $5 at the door, if available. A food stand will be available.
