DOVER -- Norma Johnson Center will be having its annual Silent Auction and Recognition Program on April 3 at the Union Hill United Methodist Church, located on Union Hill Road.

The silent auction will begin at 5:15 p.m. and dinner will be at 6 p.m. The evening will kick off with the silent auction to raise funds for the mission to promote conservation and preservation of natural resources through education, community outreach and personal experience. Throughout the year, the NJC holds several free events for the public and has continued to add to their programming with the generosity of community members. The Norma Johnson Center will be honoring the Golden Oak recipient, volunteers and the 2014's essay contest winners. For those planning to attend the meal is $13 per adult and $6.50 per child 5-12, under 4 free. The meal will include baked chicken and baked ham, mashed potatoes with gravy, cheesy vegetable medley, salad, roll and dessert. All tickets or registrations must be taken care of by March 26.
