The Newcomerstown Bicentennial Art Show that took place March 1-2 was a great success.

There were 194 entrants and it was estimated that between 350 and 400 people visited.

These winners included:

Best of Show in the Childrens' Category was Caitlin Green with her "Girls Playing Softball" piece.

Best of Show in the Adult Category was Haley Chaney with "Self Portrait."

Childrens' category winners were:

Age 4-7: First place, Jason Miller, Jordan McPeek, Rylie Chrisman; second place, Ayla Norman, Garin GIngrich, Jacoby Tedrow; and third place, Destiny Garcia, Zoey Mathews, Miriam Hernandez-Sica, Hazel Grewel-Christner.

Age 8-12: First place, Elena Cadle, Mia Cadle, Caitlin Green; second place, Elena Cadle, Brianna Lippencott, Nyah Baker; and third place, Autumn Lahmers, Anna Salmon, Erika Alexander.

Age 13 and up: First place, Emma Brode; second place, Cydney McMilan; and third place, Cydney McMillan.

Adults' category winners were:

People, Places and Things: First place, Hayley Chaney; second place, Susan Brown, Joe Dillon; and third place, Susan Swigert Barry, Ron Cummings.

Past Present and Future: First place, Leo Fenton; second place, Terry McMillan; and third place, Hayley Chaney.

Open/Abstract: First place, Kevin Bachtel; second place, John Starkey; and third place, John Starkey.

Sports: First place, Ron Cummings.
