Spring Fling Dance set
The Newcomerstown Bicentennial Committee is having an adult dance on Friday, March 28 from 7 to 10 p.m.
This is their Spring Fling Dance. The venue will be announced.
Easter egg hunt
The Newcomerstown Easter Egg hunt, sponsored by the Newcomerstown Elks Lodge 1555, Nazarene Church and Newcomerstown Bicentennial Committee, will take place Saturday, April 12 at 10 a.m.
Age groups are: 0-2 with or without help, 3-4, 5-7, and 8-10.
Eggs are filled with candy and money with "special"eggs in each age group.
There will also be Bicentennial "special eggs. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be April 19.
The Cy Young Youth League will have its annual benefit auction on Saturday, March 22 beginning at 11 a.m. at the Laborers Local 134 Union Hall at the corner of River and Main Streets in Newcomerstown.
There will be great gift certificates, new items such as folding bag chair, Ohio State jacket, bicycle, sunglasses, golf balls, collectable dolls, pop a shot basketball hoop, hats, shirts and autographs.
A list will be made available in the near future.
Trivia night set
Newcomerstown Library's next adult trivia night will be Friday, March 28 at 7 p.m.

'Pick Your Pasta Dinner' set
St. Paul Lutheran Church in Newcomerstown is having a "Pick Your Pasta Dinner" on Saturday, April 5 from 4 to 6 p.m.
The menu consists of choosing a pasta of spaghetti, penne, rotini, or wheat pasta, salad, bread and butter, desert, and drink.
Pre-sale discount tickets may be purchased at the church, 121 S. College St., Newcomerstown, during office hours 9 a.m. to noon, or at Stein Engraving, 145 W. State St., Newcomerstown, through Friday, March 28.
Pre-sale prices are $6 for adults and $3.50 for kids 5-12 years old. Ticket prices at the door will be $7 for adults, $4 for kids 5-12 years old. Children 4 and younger are free. Proceeds will benefit the Christian Education department at St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Blood drive set
The Newcomerstown community blood drive is set for Wednesday, March 19 from 1 to 6 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 121 S. College St., Newcomerstown.

Spaghetti supper set
Calvary United Methodist Church, corner of State Street and Heller Drive, Newcomerstown, will have a spaghetti supper on Saturday, March 22 from 4 to 7 p.m.
The cost is $6 for adults, $3.50 for children 4 to 12, and free for those 3 and under.
The meal includes spaghetti with homemade sauce, meatballs, salad, applesauce, bread and butter, drinks and various kinds of homemade desserts.
Carry-outs are available. Call 498-8766 for delivery.
The church is handicap accessible and the spaghetti supper is open to the public.
calamity day set
The Newcomerstown Exempted Village School District will have a make-up calamity day no. 6 on Thursday, March 27.
Any more days needing to be made up will be added on at the end of the school year.
Kurz-Kasch retirement luncheon
Kurz-Kasch retirement luncheon is set for April 9 at 11:30 a.m. at April's Country Kitch'n in Newcomerstown.
TOPS meets on Tuesdays
TOPS, Taking Off Pounds Sensibly, Chapter 2227, in Newcomerstown, has meetings each Tuesday at 5 p.m. in the lobby of Christ United Methodist Church, Newcomerstown.

Sonshine Boxes drop-off
Bob Pell's Nationwide Insurance office, located at 117 N. Bridge St., Newcomerstown, is a new collection site for items to be sent to soldiers serving our country. Items may still be donated at Riverside Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, also in Newcomerstown. Sonshine Boxes consist of anything a soldier might need such as personal hygiene items, games, movies, etc.
