Congratulations to Newcomerstown resident, Amanda Winbush, RN, for being named Mercy Medical Center's November 2016 Star Performer employee. The Star Performer program is the hospital's employee recognition and rewards program. Hospital employees, volunteers, and staff are nominated each month for demonstrating outstanding performance, being a team player, going "above and beyond", being creative and innovative and for championing service excellence.
Winbush was nominated by a patient for her caring nature and for taking the extra time to listen to her concerns. According to the nomination, Winbush also personally delivered the patient's belongings to her house, upon discovering they were accidentally left at the hospital.
Winbush has been an employee at the hospital since 2016 and was presented with her award by Thomas E. Cecconi, president & CEO of Mercy Medical Center.
